An Official Visit to Digha Made Memorable by Comfortable Travel and Stay
As a professional, I enjoy traveling to places, staying in hotels, and exploring food. All these years, I have religiously spent time visiting places either on leisure or business. And frankly speaking, I have constantly been on visit to various cities in the country for business meetings. My job entails assisting organizations with planning, monitoring, finding solutions to problems, revamping new areas in business, and more.
I had been to a business conference last week in Digha and the trip turned out to be a really memorable one for I had a great flight and stay. For the trip, I booked my flight tickets with Air India, which offers weekly Mumbai to Digha flights. The web portal of the travel agent also helped me look for the suitable accommodation among the many hotels at Digha. Through this blog I want narrate my exciting travel and stay to the readers.
A Flight More Comfortable than Facilities per se
My flight was Air India 675, an Airbus A320 aircraft, which was scheduled at 6.10 am from the Chattrapati Shivaji International Airport (BOM). I checked in online by filling out the form with the ticket number and flight details. The process was quite smooth and easy. The flight was on time and the crew quite pleasing as she welcomed me and ushered me to my Economy Class seat, which was comfortable with enough legroom.
Though the flight looked old, the cabin was adequately maintained with proper illumination and temperature. I was offered a complimentary meal and snack, which was warm and tasty. The in-flight entertainment system (IFE) offered multiple channels to help me choose my favorite music and television shows. Nevertheless, I spent only one and a half hour watching and listening to programs and rest reading the magazine and sleeping.
Having a contented journey, I reached the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU) at 8.45 am and walked to the exit for the security clearance.
A Delightful and Economical Stay at Hotel Park Prime Residency
From the Kolkata Airport, I had to find a cab to travel to Digha, which is about 185 km away. The cab driver promised me to reach the Park Prime Residency Hotel just under four hours. Situated near the Yuba Abash Amraboti Park in New Digha, West Bengal, the hotel looked modern in its design with three-storied structure. The lobby looked well-maintained with the front-office staff cordial and taking care of my needs.
My room was a Deluxe Room, though the hotel offered other types of Executive and Double rooms and suites. The Deluxe Room had a queen-size bed and mattress, as well as a large sofa, a dining table and chairs and a center table. The tiled floorings looked neat and the walls carefully designed to offer comfort and warmth to the guests. The other facilities offered were:
- Mini bar
- Satellite Television
- Tea/Coffee maker
- Air conditioning
- Swimming pool
For dining, I enjoyed a range of Indian, Continental and Chinese cuisines in its multi-cuisine restaurant. I had a great time staying in comforts in the room, strolling on the sands of the Digha beach and enjoying the food.
